PRE-ORDER: Through May 13 or while supplies last, you’ll get a $150 Amazon credit when you reserve the new Samsung Galaxy Book Pro there (starting at $1,099.99) and enter the code V94CUJ76P4JV at checkout.
Apple didn’t announce a new iteration of its powerful MacBook Pro at last month’s Spring Unlocked event, but you won’t catch us losing sleep over it. We’re more excited about a different “Pro” these days — that is, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Book Pro.
Announced at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event in late April, this snazzy new laptop is billed as “PC for mobile-first consumers, bringing together next-generation connectivity, ultra-portable design, and elevated performance.” It comes in two sizes — 13.3 and 15.6 inches — both of which feature Dolby Atmos-supporting AKG speakers, a built-in 720p HD camera, dual-array mics, a fingerprint sensor, and a 1920 x 1080 Super AMOLED display. (The latter is a first for Samsung’s Windows PCs, FYI.)
Thinking about reserving one ahead of its May 14 release? Amazon will basically pay you to do so: Through May 13 (or while supplies last), you’ll get a $150 credit that’s good toward future Amazon purchases when you preorder the Samsung Galaxy Pro there and enter the code V94CUJ76P4JV at checkout. (Might want to jot that one down.)

This offer applies to all available configurations of the laptop, by the way — take your pick from a Mystic Blue 13.3-inch model with an i7 11th Gen Intel Core processor and 8GB of RAM ($1,199.99); a 15.6-inch one with an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM that comes in either Mystic Blue or Mystic Silver ($1,099.99 each); or a slightly beefier 15.6-inch one in Mystic Blue that gets you an i7 processor and 16GB of memory ($1,299.99). All of them include 512GB of storage space and a battery that’ll last you up to 20 hours on a single charge, so no matter which one you wind up buying, you’ll be getting a great new addition to your learn- or work-from-home arsenal.
Note that you’ll get an email containing your $150 credit (which expires on Oct. 28, 2021) as soon as your shipment is complete, per the terms and conditions of Amazon’s offer, so don’t be alarmed when it doesn’t appear in your account right after you hit “Place your order.”
