PRE-ORDER: PowerA’s new $99.99 Fusion Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch ships later this month — pre-order yours from Amazon for a May 15 release date, or reserve one at GameStop and it’ll ship by May 21.
We aren’t getting a Nintendo Switch Pro anytime soon (though its existence has seemingly been confirmed), so how’s about a new pro-grade Switch controller?
Replace your console’s drifty Joy-Cons with the all-new Fusion Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch, a fully customizable and officially licensed gamepad from the popular gaming accessories brand PowerA. (They’re the same people behind the colorful Enhanced Wired Controller line, which includes those extremely adorable Animal Crossing-themed controllers we’ve plugged here before.) Priced at $99.99, you can pre-order one from Amazon or GameStop and it’ll ship out later this month.
(Amazon lists a May 15 release date, while GameStop expected its stock to ship on May 21 at the time of writing.)
A hundred bucks for a controller is… a lot, frankly, but PowerA’s really packed this thing full of features: It includes four programmable paddles, swappable analog sticks, embedded anti-friction rings (for smooth controls), injected rubber grips for hours of comfy gameplay, a 900mAh rechargeable battery that gets you up to 20 hours of use on a single charge, and two magnetic faceplates — one in soft-touch black, one in white and red — that let you change the controller’s look on the fly. The cherry on top? A 3.5mm stereo audio jack for your wired headset.
PowerA also throws in a protective travel case that fits the controller itself along with a charging cable, a faceplate, and accessories, as well as a two-year limited warranty.
