Short Life Lessons From Enes Olgun

Must read

Where did you grow up and what was your childhood like? Did you have any particular experiences/stories that shaped your adult life?

I grew up conservatively in a simple modest home in Trabzon, Turkey. My father was not successful but has provided me great mental support. He gave me great visions and reminded me to believe that anything was possible. He stretched my mind and my brain to make me aware that there were no limits in what I can accomplish in sports, in life, and in business.

What is something you wish you would’ve realized earlier in your life? Don’t give up to early.

There were times early in my career where I gave up on businesses. Whether it is because of ego or feeling that I was bigger and even smarter than those I was partnered with. Hindsight being 20/20 I left a lot of money and successful business so it would’ve been a wiser financial move to stay committed in longer terms. Commit and stay focused.

What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?

“Tell them what they want to hear.” But a BIG NO for this. Always BE HONEST.

What is one thing that you do that you feel has been the biggest contributor to your success so far?

Operating my business and my business partnerships with integrity. Telling the truth and committing to the truth. Living with passion. I’m living in my business with a focus on massive action.

What is your morning routine?

10 AM a light breakfast, vitamins, evaluate my calendar, with Covid and being home more, playing with baby in the morning. 11 to 12:30 business activities, conference calls, zoom, coaching, all activities.

What habit or behavior that you have pursued for a few years has most improved your life?

The more I coach others the more I coach myself. I myself also have a personal coach. I believe if we know that there are areas in our lives that we need to improve we should find the best people we can seek for help to make us better.

What are your strategies for being productive and using your time most efficiently?

Less is more! Actions speak louder than words. I try to do less talk and more action which duplicates throughout all of my relationships business and personal. People do what you do that what you tell them to do. The speed of the pack is determined by the speed of the leader.

What book(s) have influenced your life the most? Why?

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I was 19 years old and it gave me a new perspective on money and making money. On having success and not being fearful of success.

Do you have any quotes you live by or think of often?

Your attitude determines your altitude. You can only go as high as your attitude allows you to reach.
